Every month a beautiful Bach concert… That is what The Chapel of the Minimes has to offer you! The programme usually features one or two cantatas by the great Johann Sebastian Bach himself but sometimes also works by other composers from the great Bach family or his contemporaries.
Come and listen to us and take a journey through J.S. Bach’s magnificent repertoire!
Since October 1981, The Chapel of the Minimes has performed one or two Bach cantatas every month to a large and appreciative audience in central Brussels.
The choir and orchestra are made up of accomplished amateur singers and experienced instrumentalists from Europe and the rest of the world.
The ensemble is led by Artistic Director Julius Stenzel, with a number of rotating and guest conductors taking the baton for performances.
The concerts take place
The church is located at 1 Place Royale, at the top of Mont des Arts. Tram 92 & 93 – Bus 27 & 95: Place Royale stop; Metro: Park station; Train: Brussels-Central
The admission to the concert is free, but if possible, we ask a financial support of 5€ per person: it helps us a lot, in order to project ourselves in the long term! The concerts are not part of the Sunday mass celebration.
